Maybe I Wasn't Thinking Straight

-

I can't pretend I don't love you

So are you gonna find out?

It's not bearable, for you to know

I don't want you to run off

You're not supposed to know yet

That's what my friends' rules are of love

"Keep it a secret" is what they tell me

But what's the point of it?

All you do is keep on hurting me

Falling in love with another guy

'Cause he's a man

And I'm just a boy

I'd date a girl

But they're too young to stay in love

I want a woman

Who can appreciate an honest relationship

And have the guts to settle down

Not for making babies

But to be in love

Nobody my age is looking for some one

They all have some one already

And I have no means nor ways

__of getting married

____to anybody

I'm just gonna stay in pain so great

This pattern of losing ev'y one I meet

Takes over my life and kicks my ass ev'ryday

I wish I didn't need anybody

But it's boring to not chase after

That RUSH that loves gives me
