Moving On From Pain

-

I didn't have to think

Before I cut out all the lights in my mind

But as I did

__I felt alright

And feeling right became thee "in" thing to feel

When every morning I woke up

And begin to concentrate

I went thru the motions

__of life without quackin' like a duck

I didn't just admit I was immoral

I tried to change that way of living

If I have not succeeded yet

I know that I'm not dead yet

So it's not too late

Weeping onto a pillow

__holds no place for me

So I had no place for crying

I do not leave room for cake these days

'Cause what is a stomach full of diabetes

Going to do for my future?

When I climb out of the darkness

And see the light

It doesn't matter if by then I am dead

When birds hit my window and go "SPLAT!!!!!"

I won't care to look back

'Cause it would hurt to see

All the pain I left behind me
