My Weakness Betrays Us Both

Time is open

Most women, like you

Shatter at the thought

Of bein' stuck with me

So be glad you're not mine

'Cause you'd only break my heart

Having to leave my side

__for good

I know the fog

That traps your heart

__to singlehood

The kind of world

That don't want

Any one

Just be glad I'm not the man

'Cause I can't put up

With being somebody's

"The one"

I can't try to put the mack down

You'll stay on my mind

And in some rhymes

But it won't be all your fault

'Cause this is my life

I'm refusing

To make a bride out of you

You'll stay as refusing too

To make me your groom

So I'll land in a puddle of my doom

But what's it to you?

You've already apologized

If you were my "the one"

You'd of not had to

"I don't know what it is"

You did with your baby-dady

But I'll never be him

'Cause those aren't my children

And I don't want any

You're way above my league

And I'm a wreck beyond misery

But don't accompany me into the cold

You can never be

What is too late

For you to ever be

Your parenthood keeps you from me

I'm just gonna face the bullets

For being judged for being

The weak one

It's nothing I have to remind you of

Just another reason

Why you won't be reading this
