taken from my book, "Long After You're Gone"

Please Don't Hit On Me

Lost in a wonderful way

I'm out of it

"I'm O.K."

But I can mark all of my decisions

On the drawing board of life

And still be thinking

__the same ol' things

All over and ove again

I must be hung over too often

I must be sober too much

I must be sprung out too often

I must be clean not enough

I must not rip off my own head

But could not care to go on

Had my wholewell beingshattered to the brinks

__of insanity

I might not be here today

So I will weeble

And I will wobble

But I won't walk

I will just woddle

And if you could not tell

Then what's the purpose?

You don't mean much

You don't eat lunch

You seem to always skip it

And say

"Screw this world

Just screw it"

But I don't feel like an "it" today

Now I'll never get to se the day

That I am waiting at thee alter

Even if just for all day
