Scribbled Shadows

-

If I can point my brain

Into the chatter of lost breathing walls

As they whisper into my sight

I will end up drifting off

If I could climb any mountain

Any mountain, at all

I would chose the mountain of euphoria

All natural and pure

In the moment of gentle makebelievable thoughts

As they twinkle into a gloomy hesitation

I could lose my self

In all that I've chosen to gain

Bending over backwards

To see the denial in the sky

I will end up floating on a river of words

Eating worms that dangle on a hook

Only to be reeled in

And shot to death

Wonderless worries empty themselves upon me

And if I could carry the message out of my head

Who can I save from the depths of distress?

Maybe a talking pencil

As it cries to me in the night

Scribbling shadows on my head
