Shadow Of A Flame

I'd like to take this opportunity

To plummet to the bottom of the sea

I have seen it all

Now must be ridden from this world

Anchor me to my death now

There is nothing more to figure out

If my unruly mad laughter

Could crack me up anymore

I would be a chuckling whore

Giggling the wiggles out of my mouth

If the exact nature of life

__is to climb out of a hole

____on the top of a potato

Who is to say what "naturally" happens

__to the funniness that is among us?

Will thee elation of choice

__disperse and leave us hanging?

I wait not

__for thee answer

'Cause what is going to happen to us

__when we shut our mouths?

My opinions stand alone

And so what I say

__only applies to me

Maybe if I knew any better

Maybe if knowing better

__did any good

How would it feel

__to peal the skin off of your skull

____only to find a crack in your head?

Knowing nothing

__has nothing to do with what I don't know

Just let me climb out of my mess

Maybe I'll clean my disaster up

Maybe I won't

But if I picked up my own thoughts

What's gonna be the point

__that I am trying to make?

Nothing more than the cheese slices

That wipe away their taste

__from my taste buds

____before I can taste them

Whatever has become of me

Is just as well what I refuse to become

I am forced to be "me"

And that never got me to be

__satisfied with my own existence
