Since My Head's Been Gone

Often when I operate out of stupidity

I just get nowhere

In the bliss of ignorance

I can never find my way back

Until I know what I need to know

If Heaven was a head on a stick

I'd be it

But I have no head

So that must be where it is?

It's amazing how so many have died

Most of them gone there

But in thee dying of the light

I aim my pencil sharpener

And droop my mindless thoughts

That I just thunk onto a piece of paper

Heaven hold me, please

I will blow chunks of insanity now

The pillow that my neck bleeds on

Is filthy red

Just how I like it

When I wake up one morning

__in the light

____to see my face in the  mirror again

Would I even recognise myself?
