Superficial Loss

It's a shame I had to love you

I guess the year ends

__with nobody to have in my heart

I could kiss the world goodbye

The world is a terrible place to be

When I see your face, I just crack

Like an egg hitting a pan

Splatter my shell, and my yoke for a brain

You couldn't have chosen a worser week

To let me know

__what you really think of me

I'd hate to see you with him

I hope you never bring him to a meeting

I'll slowly rot into cynicism

Never loving anything about life

This life

My life

Whatever kind of life

That I refuse to live

I dread your reaction when word gets out

But what have I got to hide anymore?

I don't matter to you, at all

I am closing the door

And staying locked up here inside' my mind

"Goodbye, number 84

I loved you when you were you

__by yourself

But I guess I can take my love for you away"

What else can I do?

It's always this way
