"The Perfect Love"

-

I paint my way out of my brain

Soft and surely I'll pick up

Lovers' soup is my only lunch

Spinach rallies in a fill-in

Hung out to dry with all the lettuce

So many times, I have found myself

In the way of forgiveness

Just as jolly as a beginning

Who shares my time?

The one who loves me

Yeah, I know I said it was "impossible"

But I guess I just didn't wanna jinx myself

Or she woulda' never got with me

Today, my sky turns into a beautiful grey

And then night will capture the leftover hours

And I will be held accountable

For a French fry walking over

To say "hi" to us

As we lay in each others' arms

So grateful to be in love

Like a jelly fish, she moves my soul

Like an animal, I want her all

I eat away at the food that is her love

'Cause I just can't get enough

This is all that love has to be

Just perfect

Just us
