When The Lights Go Out

When the lights go out in my mind

What's gonna happen to my life?

I see the terror around me

And I hate the horror that is "life"

Struggling to place the past behind me

I only know the baggage of what I carry

When the light bulb breaks

And crashes all around me

When I no nothing

I will be free

And when I am free

Just how empty will I be?

Even the dogs know what to do

__after barking up the wrong tree

But I am just an idiot

That knows nothing about the tweaks

__and the twerks that bind me

Tasteless gestures

__are what brings me to my knees

And I will think heavily

__for as long as I can

But when the lights go out up there

Who's to say what I am anymore?
