Layeth me down in stagnant earth

Mouldering, my mortal flesh

A lifetimes passed, from my birth

Until the bitter kiss of Death

Entombed in soil, a maggot feast

Luncheon of the nightcrawler

Succumbed to a heart, that no longer beats

I walked the path, and faltered

Setteth me down to sleep in my final bed

A veneered Everafter

And whence, perchance, again I rise

A spectral, soul romancer

Layeth me down in foliage, foul

A rotting blanket of doom

Whispers from beneath the cowls

Blasphemy of my Tomb

Chiselled lies of my 'Perfection'

Sculptured works of Heart

The Deity of my Rejection

Bleeding works of Art

Setteth me down, to lift me up

Harbinger of my life

A new dawn calls, from the blood filled cup

I'm a truth, to be denied

Layeth me down

Layeth me down
