You turn the pages in the book of the dead,

to see they're dark, and dripping red,

the pages fashioned from a corpse's skin,

dark tales abound, tales of sin.


You find your own name there,

and start to scream, knowing now it wasn't a dream,

no turning back, it's all been said,

we are all books of death; when we're slit open, we're RED.
