Curse me and yell
I’ll cry and do the same
But in between it all
A sick pleasure came

Tell me I’m wrong
Show me my ways
Take my faith and grind it
Force me to pray

I’m flying aimlessly
Through cloudy air
Looking for my angel
Noticing she’s not there.

In the confusion
I feel safety in your voice
Even when you hurt me
I know I have no choice

So I sit and listen
As the walls close in
Tears submerge my eyes
I can’t breath in this skin

Beat me lyrically
I know I need it
Even as it crushes me
It rips me and I split

You spit tar into my eyes
As I try to pull it out
It poisons my clarity
And castes away my doubt

I loathe you in the moment
I crumble in your eyes
Your words shred my confidence
I’ve reached devastating demise

But then there’s safety in pain
As I breathe into your chest
I just needed your support
So I could finally rest
