Tired from a haze
A bustling confusion
I can’t make it today
I am the girl who cried

Flashing light’s pollution
In a drunken cloud of regret
I was out too late
I am the girl who cried

Lazy slumber prohibits
Words of meaning have no definition
I can’t remember, I forgot
I am the girl who cried

Watching dreams fall
Into a watering sink
Seeping through my fingers
I am the girl who cried

Sorry I’m not reliable
Not today, of all days!
I lie so much it’s true to me
I am the girl who cried

Flashing authority
Takes hold of my mistakes
Real trouble finds me today
I am the girl who cried wolf.
