When she left the dock
She knew she was leaving home
On her way to a large metropolis
She belonged to, in a dome

The city was comfortable
It was somewhere she could grow
But the island showed her
Undeniable love she’d never known

The city offers her luxuries
That makes life easy, tempting
But it was the thought of the island
That kept her from feeling empty

In the city, she was spoiled
She never needed anything
She was always taken care of
But she lacked a soul, a being

It was on the island
When she danced with desire
When she fell in love
She finally felt fire

On the sand of the beach
She danced with the wind
The stars washed over her
The moon was her friend

But in the city
There were no stars
The wind was suffocated
By poison from cars

It was risky to leave
A life she knew was conventional
To commit to something
Multi-dimensional

She couldn’t deny the island
She couldn’t fight her heart
She felt in her soul
She wanted a new start

So she left the large city
She ran to the island with passion
Knowing what she left behind
And looking at it with compassion

Knowing she did something right,
When she looked into the island’s eyes
She held it tight and realized
She finally became whole

When she arrived
She felt the waves swirl
The earth was moving her
The island got the girl
