I guess I just don’t understand why you hold back from me.

You say our love is truly real, but only by degree.

Your words profess just how you feel, the strength of your sweet love.

How you and I were meant to be, scribed in the stars above.

Yet far away, dark clouds do form, rolling with their thunder.

They are the spawn of fear and doubt, my hesitating wonder.

For it is true that I know you, as much as you will show.

But edges blur, things don’t add up, so do I really know

The inner you, whole and complete, why must you hide yourself?

If it is fear of being hurt, I’ve felt that way myself.

But holding back will not allow our love the room to grow.

Cause I don’t give just part of me, I need for you to know.

I crave to lose myself in you, two hearts becoming one.

Not holding back, the thought of each completely comes undone.

I don’t want some, a part, a piece, anything less than whole.

I need complete, entire, throughout, I want to taste your soul.
