Living in a house of fallen cards,
Still throwing stones amongst the shards
Of our shattered possibilities.
Standing firm, weak in the knees.
I lie to you, and you lie to me,
We are as honest as we want to be,
Building our webs of deceit and mistrust,
They couldn’t withstand love’s powerful gusts.
For when we decided to share our hearts,
Intuition told us we were missing some parts,
Those deep dark recesses where each of us hides,
Sustaining deception, crushing in from all sides,
The more of our hearts we revealed to each other,
Our lies cracked and crumbled, one after another.
For love can not live in a heart filled with lies.
Deception's black poison, it laughs as love dies.
So now there is only one choice left to make.
Love me or leave me, which path will you take?
