We have a choice, you and I,
On whether to laugh or whether to cry.
To spread our wings and soar to the heights,
Or hide our eyes, giving control to our frights.
All too often, we hand our reigns,
To people who cause us pains.
We often forget that we are in charge,
To live our life small or live it large
Is a decision that we must make
Not one for someone else to take.
Nevermind that sometimes we stumble and fall,
In the end, it should be our call:
Will you live your life in a reach for the stars?
Or let yourself be defined by your scars?
