You’ve cried until no one’s listening

Standing in wonder, cheeks a glistening

With tears shed in pure exploration,

Working another machination.

Wondering what could have gone wrong.

It has never taken this long.

Before someone pays attention to you,

And does all the things you don’t want to do.

You cry even harder, it doesn’t seem fair.

What’s different this time, no one cares.

You just might have to come off of your throne,

And just for once, do something on your own.
