The cherry blossom branches
Have drunk of the nectar of spring
Its wren-clawed twigs and branches
Have gulped and grasped the nurture
From the late spring drenched air
And her flower has burst
From the woumb of her roots
In a suffusion ; a riot of colour
That splays the vibrant -verdant land .
And scented drifting bucolic confetti.
That paves the land for Summer; and fuse
In pastoral hormones to woo
Satyrs of Priapus and Pan
And maybe Bacchus too
