Everyone’s got an armchair
Maybe , a place where you sit in now
Or a place where a wise parent with greying hair,
Stroked you , kissed you , combed your tangled curls so fair
Or maybe its place in the mind where now you go
To get that comfort or that confidence,
That fortitude, that you seek so;
That determination and endurance
To bugger on when the load is heavy
And the thoughts , not hair are so tangled now.
And life’s burden has made you weary,
And you really don’t know which , or what or why or how .
Every one needs an armchair.
May you find yours , and find some comfort
And some solace there.
