On looking at a water colour
later thinking how it tweeted and whistled like a piece of Vivaldi

There is a shadow
Passed without
Notice or heed of being ,
Nor break of day or of following  night

A shadow leaked through the cracks
Yet states its place
In the awakeness of the pendulum
Of planets swirling in the heavens

It is subtle yet determined
To state that I have passed
This road , and that others share this way
Well trod

A road of sorrow , loss
And yet of joy and optimism
And more , by beating day
And  thrashing night

There is a shadow
Bright and dull
Flagrant and timid
Fierce and tender
Undimmed by light
Nor subdued by dark

There is  a shadow
Passed  without
Notice or heed of being ,
Nor break of day or of following  night
