Symphonies of summer skies

It comes in fleeting shards of fantasy
This urge,
To rise up . and flee back in time
Past the withered leaves of bitter memories
Through the symphonies of  endless  summer skies
Through the  idyllic canvass
And riotous colour splattered there
The  joy of  my first  realised ,and  acquitted  sensual pleasure .

To a place where I lie
Beneath an apple tree
As the dusk of spent rapture
Laps at my feet ,
And  our embrace exudes the sent of cloying fluids
Which  fuse  with the decadent smells
Of late leaves in autumn :

To lie under the chilled twilight
On the dew damp grass
Stroking the dimpled sweat on her gentle face,
Asleep in my lap
As the dusk consumes us both in this languor.

But the symphony escapes me now
And only the heady smell of oils ,
Obscured , formless on a flaccid canvass :
-These , come with  feeble memories
Of the fire that once glowed fierce within me
And I turn back  from a history of  high exuberance and youth
To my  monochromed world
And t I salute that  urge.

This urge,
To rise up . and flee back in time
Past the withered leaves of bitter memories
Through the symphonies of  endless  summer skies
