When someone proves you wrong/let's you down

Reaching out for you, and you're not there.

I tried to pull you through the darkness, tried to give you purpose show you some light.

Those demons consumed you.

Every time I thought I was a step closer, you only showed me I was 10 steps further.

I wanted to save you.

I tried so hard, I believed you were worth it, I believed you were stronger than those

It's obvious you sat in their domain for far too long.

It's obvious you gave up on life, you gave up on yourself.

It's hard holding on to someone who completely lost their way.

My love for you wouldn't just let me leave you behind, my love for you wanted to see

you shine.

I believed deep in the pit of my soul you were a survivor you could make it through.

I guess i believed more in you, than you believed in you.

It saddened me to watch you go through it, you refused to to change it.

I could no longer stand it, I couldn't let the babies watch you be a victim to your own

I prayed to god we gave your life meaning.

Time and time again you showed me, you weren't worth saving. Until eventually, I

started to believe it.
