i wrote this on another thing and i want to publish it here. so here it is

it is not fake. i wrote this last year, 2011

i also really didn't know what to name this

the glitter on my arms

is what we should have used

a year ago on Halloween.

Sunday it was a year

does anyone else remember?

i don't think my friends realize,

how much i hurt inside.

letter i have not wrote

i don't know what to say;

so much i need to share

to much i keep to myself,

i don't know what to do.

my sister, my Riley

once stood upon this earth.

brave and tall, fierce and smart

she showed is the way;

a light in my life,

now a hole in my heart...

we went to a lake,

they sprinkled her ashes.

on the watery surface

our flowers floated away.

laying calmly on the surface

arising slowly, a year long sorrow,

released in such beauty.

songs i have not sang

song i have not heard

i cannot bring myself

to listen to those words.

movies i have not seen

pictures i just cant.

reasons unknown to me

things i cannot understand

things i cannot explain.
