Mandatory fun.

My health care providers,

stated simply, in their contract,

that curosity was a preexisting condtion,

I wouldn't be covered for that.

Didn't matter if it was nine lives that had I paid for,

with the feathers of an angel,

I couldn't just go off and, do whatever I wanted,

I signed a contract, their was no room for my tail to wiggle.

Caged into submission, I watched through the glass,

bright yellow canaries , red glowing sparrows that flew past,

blue jays feeding, black ravens, just cawing for my teeth,

they,

were not to be my target,

mraww, what's the point of being a cat;

if I can't live just a little.

Curiosity killing me,

satisfaction bringing me back,

eating uninsured kibble,

they forget that my kind,

have razor sharp claws to scratch.

This is a quirky little poem about a quirk little cat, but I suppose if they way they act is according to their natural abilities, it is not quirky lol. As a health care provider, the mention of insurance and health care is striking but I do suppose I will need more time to consider and reflect their meaning here. :)

Also I'm sure the kitty in the pic was not pleased to be in a bunny suit, representing a more docile creature- a potential prey, actually. This makes be also ponder the constraints that society places in us, maybe so that we're all coexisting more safely. There are setbacks of course, like the fact that no one is learning skills because everyone is going to college for liberal art degrees lol

looool. I think this one, for me, is more about preexisting conditions, and that old chestnut...curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back.
Pre something about resurrection and not doing what we too, because we don't all have 9 lives.
Now you got me thinking lol.
( I don't know why I write 1/2 of the crap I write haha ..and the other 1/2 can;t be explained lol )
I'm strange :D
Thanks for the words stars...insightful point about the cat in the suit and society. You're a clever one :))))))

Aww~ poor kitty! My own kitten is curious as can be; always poking his nose around when he's not too busy spazzing about or following me around.

I had a stray that looks very similar to your cat, he had something wrong with him, and couldn't meow but he made little noises, so I called him Hiccup.
Thanks Jay. )
