I can see myself at the edge
Looking down into this hole
I remember digging it together
Did she push me down
And leave me here to rot?
Or did we both fall in together

I can see myself at the edge
Looking down into this hole
I remember digging it together
Did she push me down
And leave me here to rot?
Or did we both fall in together
I can still see her at the edge
Looking down into this rotten hole
She's reaching down towards my hand
Trying to grasp at her I slip and fall
She tells me to climb and reach up
But I feel too weak and powerless
I force myself up and reach again
Slipping and sliding in this rotten mess
I finally feel her grasp at my hand
I reach up and pull myself out
Looking down into this hole
I remember her telling me to get out
Before this hole got too deep
I feel sorrow for not listening when she spoke
And we walk away together again
Myself and I
