To follow through till the darkest hour

To settle into the night

To wake up among the dying flowers

To be afraid of the light

You wander down the broken halls

Of mortality on the brink

Only to hear your footsteps fall

All that you’re able to think

Is wonderings of the past dark days

You’ve wandered through life after life

To ponder over the countless ways

And name all the uses of a knife

The silences call

Like a beacon of light

Only to fall

Away from the fight

To lie in dishonor

On enemy shores

To die without honor

Another mans chore
