Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

The only sound in the room continued, as the world outside the window eased on by. Fish swam here and there, and a squid zoomed past the glass window. The contents of the dark and dreary room wasn't very impressive. Some books, a desk, bloodstained walls, and a large hole in one of the walls. There was also a small hole on the opposite wall, adorned with bright gold and bronce pieces, and a stepping stool built into the wall.

Thud.

Thud.

Thud.

The footfalls were heavy, and shook the ground. Puddles splashed, as the behemoth creature walked into the room. It was vaguely human in appearence, standing on two strong legs. It was bent over, with an enormous tank on its back, with various tubes and pipes connecting to its helmet, which was round with many portholes, which glowed a faint green. In its right hand it sported a massive blood stained drill. Moaning, it walked up to the wall with the small hole, raised its free left hand, and proceeded to knock.

Thud.

Thud.

Thud.

Scurrying sounds emitted from the hole, as a small child dangled her legs out. The creature reached up, and carefully grabbed her about the waist, and ever so gently lifter the girl to its back. The girl, dressed in a torn summer dress with a red ribbon in her hair, groped for a handhold, and sat there. \"Lets go,Mr. Bubbles...\" The girl whispered. The creature's portholes then flashed a bright yellow. It turned, and proceeded out the hole in the wall. As the creature roamed the halls of the underwater building, it heard whispers and low threats coming from the shadows. Revving up its drill, it cautiously walked into a lobby, and helped the girl to the ground. Procuring from her dress a large needle, she crouched by a fresh corpse, and jabbed it with the foot long needle. The creature stood at attention, and slowly rotated to get a good view of the room. It knew they would come from anywhere. They attacked. Quick as lightning, they leaped onto the creature's back, attacking it with long hooks and knives. The girl screamed as the assailants grabbed for her, stealing her needle. One of them stopped and raised the needle to its mouth, and began drinking the red liquid inside. The girl fled to the creature's side, as it flailed, attempting to rid itself of the man-like beings latched to it. The creature, gripped one's leg, and flung it across the room, smashing into a bookcase. It revved its drill, and charged towards a group of three, and rammed them with the drill, sending them sprawling. The creature then heard the girl scream once more, and turned, its portholes now a deep red. The assailants had her by the arm, and were dragging her away. The creature ran forward, doing whatever it takes to get the girl back. The creature stopped all of a sudden, as electricity coursed throughout its body. One of the attackers smiled towards it, and snapped its fingers, setting the creature on fire. The creature roared, a mixture of pain and rage, and kicked a chair towards the attacker, splitting its skull. The creature stumbled as it tried to move. It was tired and hurt, no energy left to run. It watched with now blue portholes as the girl vanished with the monsters. Slumping to the ground, the creature's eyes began to dim. It had failed its msot important task.
