 Journey's Gaze

Crossroads of infinite cobwebs,

The lone traveler contributes his thread,

Passage is granted only to those who have the will,

This sticky life of complex confines,

Tangles of knots trodden by the dead,

No sureties stand forever solid,

Wind thrown walkers cry in disarray,

The silk opportunities woven by fate,

Followed by the chosen,

The choosers have no control,

Over those who refuse to stand,

Even the stragglers fall behind,

Only we can measure our path of woe and tears,

But the rest is already set out before us,

Cobwebs stray to corners,

Where all lies beneath its wispy gaze,

Woven stories waiting to be told,

Writings lost lay visible,

Inner meanings comfort only those ignorant,

Spreading ink stained blood,

Eating crumbs caught in intricate simplicity,

Stilled droplets lie waiting for freedom,

Shadows portrayed as dark mirrors,

Knowledge of now useless creativities,

Cast out by mere shedding of light,

Flowing strands of soft comfort,

Intertwining realities moulding possibilities,

Shrouded in illusional visions,

Of milky harvested pastures,

Visions of future steps we must ascend,

Separating us from the past as we melt into our final journey,

Cobwebs floating through dawn’s gaze forever eternal.
