Poem by: DreamALittleDreamOfMe

Summary

About Believing someone's lies no matter how obvious they are, because no matter what, you just want them to be true.

You didn't mean it

Not a single word you said

Every letter

dripped with fraud

As soon as they left your mouth

But I still believed them.

Every syllable

Was coated with lies

But I still listened to them

Every noun, verb and adjective

Was screaming with dishonesty

But like the complete hopeless idiot I am

I believed them.

I was blind

And deaf

By the thought that someone

Anyone

Could care for someone as hopeless and lost

As me.

So I believed you

How stupid

I must be.
