I’d kill to have a cigarette,
those putrid things are hard to forget.
I’m craving for them day and night,
the addiction is so hard to fight.

I’ve been a smoker for so long,
now I must resist, I must stay strong.
I must be tough and never fail,
in my quest I must prevail.

I’m taking measures to ensure,
that I’m a slave to nicotine no more.
So with hope and positivity,
eventually I will be free.
