A blustery sandy shore,
a dune on a Carolina Beach,
two brothers from Ohio,
Bicycle Makers,
dreamers.

Ageless bond,
between earth and man's foot,
unloosed,
unnatural, is the cry of the masses,
unnatural, is not to try.

Gale force winds blast,
across oil stained goggles,
constant deafening roar,
like a great angered beast.

The pungent smell of Gasoline,
the carbon choked smoke,
unnatural, is the whir of the propellers,
unnatural, is the machine Bourne aloft.

Canvas stretched tight,
fragile wood frame,
Glue, pegs and imagination,
secure the flying skeleton.

Guy wires, turnbuckles,
strings and leather,
unnatural, is the wicker basket seat,
unnatural, are the Souls who sit in it.

Birds offer no wisdom,
they mentor not, nor aid,
no lessons learned,
no examples to see,
no peers.

A wing and a wind,
a wing and speed,
a wing and a prayer,
Unnatural, courage to explore the unknown,
Unnatural, it is for Man to fly.
