I miss your smile and twinkling eyes

Your warm embrace when you say goodnight

Your familiar footsteps against the floor

Your tender voice I'll hear no more

I will go on living day by day

Say the words I am meant to say

And live the life that was given to me

The way you want it to be

O' Daddy, Daddy why did you leave

For we who are left behind will always give

To feel your touch and to hear your voice

But Daddy, my Daddy I'm sure

You know the ache in my heart

I will always remember how close we were

For the rest of my life

I'll look into the skies above and see

Your familiar face, and I will smile

And I will cry, to know in my heart

That my love and longing for you

Could never die.
