DEAR OLD MOTHER

I once had a dear old mother

Who meant the world to me

For if I was in trouble

She sat me on her knee.

That night as I lay sleeping

Upon my father's bed

An angel came from heaven

And told me my mom's dead.

Next morning when I woke up

To see if this was true

I found that my dear old mother

Was in the sky so blue.

So children obey your parents

And do as you are told

For if you loose a mother

You loose a heart of gold.
