The taste of all this alcohol
Is pulling me away
I am sinking like a sailboat
I am lost amongst the waves
My body is all bone
I admit I lost a few
It's all ok; it's all alright
I did it all for you

And this burning in my throat
Leaves me empty I'm a shell
Dressed in white to counterract
The bleakness of this hell
And the blinds are down for days
And the cold comes creeping back
The smoke from pot and cigarettes
Is turning my lungs black

Let go
Let go
It shouldn't be so hard
To hold on
So let go

My veins pulse with pagan saints
And sinners must confess
I once wore a crown of thorns
But then I lost my head
And my wings have rotted off
And my halo wasn't gold
It was made of human flesh
And hair and veins and bones
