somewhere i lost the will to be
and now i'm not sure whether i am or am not
physically i am standing tall like the tree outside my door
but i have rotted out in the middle
if a soul like an ex blows a farewell kiss into a rearview mirror
and catches the last train for the coasts of some dark corner
does that mean that the body perishes
i look in the mirror and something's missing
that spark that once stained my eyes
and turned a look into the glare from a thousand skies
fell out of my lids
i should've blinked to save it
curse my eyes.
