A A A

I miss the rain coming down on you
You're soft gentle ways and the aura that surrounds
The hair in your halo like the sun in June
You burn out my eyes as I eclipse you
I'm always just passing by

You have the lips like a forest fire
The tune of your voice is calm and serene
You hold me inside of your arms when I'm weak
You are my air when I sink
And I'm always upon cloud nine

And sometimes your voice melts off my paint
And I rust like a jungle gym out in the rain
But you always take time to erase my mistakes
Can you apply some fresh stain?
My soul is just peeling off

I departed for the center of the setting sun
Somewhere without rain so I could never come undone
And replaced all my bones with synthetic ones
So the next time I confront you, no harm will be done
Yeah, you are my deflated lung.
