you say you want to get away
to run with the sun at your back
and keep running until you're so lost
no one would know how to find you
take a piece of advice from the tongue
of an old traveler
never knowing home is never knowing
never remembering your past is why
you will repeat what happened
when you leave darling
don't forget to take what makes you you
from this hellhole
and if you can make that work anywhere in the world
then you've successfully eluded
the past
