perfection is perception; it's all up to you
and i've come to find that i control how i view
when i tried to see rainbows and cloudless skies
it rained down my throat and night blinded my eyes
now the chip on my shoulder is an infectious gash
cut straight through the bone and halfway down my back
and somehow they say that i'll live through this too
see imperfections as perfections and change how you view
see, the one thing i've learned is that stressing is petty
and life isn't gorgeous, it's something somewhat pretty
it's not always rainbows and cloudless skies
but there's a fare amount before you die
