The sparkle in his eye

The love I hope will once be mine

But now that hope has said goodbye

It started with a dream

It transformed into a ticket

Then it turned into a train

But it ended all in pain

He left without a word

Without even being heard

And stepped onto the train

With the rain pouring on his window frame

He became a dreamer

Business

Money

Success

What a mess

But the only thing on my mind was

Stress

Anger

Pain

It’s like a chain is wrapped around my soul

Not letting me go

A few years later I walk down the streets

Holding my head down low watching the snow

A familiar voice climbs into my ears

I lift my head up high

Seeing the sparkle in his eye

I begin to cry

Shock surrounds my body

I go up to him and say

“Hi”
