If stones are cold my life is stone

So often have I felt left alone

Even though I have ears to listen

My words can hardly shine or glisten

My hearts a solid, melts to liquid

Beating rapid signs of fear

Even though it’s nowhere near

They say loves a simple thing

But we all feel it in our veins

Fragile like a piece of glass

Yet hard enough to never pass

The building blocks are hard to seize

Hard enough to barely breathe

Laughter after thinking back

To all the ways we had react

We always make it through

Even when it all feels new

Just think about the pain you felt

Isn’t that what life’s about?

It’s what makes us human and alive

Alive.
