Well I've just been going through a really difficult time right now, what with the attempted suicide of a friend and the rejection of someone I really loved, who I thought loved me also; and it came out quite suddenly in poetry, which is strange, but good, I suppose, as it really seemed to calm my heart. I'm sorry I've been gone so much recently, I've just been struggling a lot; but I'll try to get back to updating and reading more often now that I'm slowly starting to move on :) Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me and my writing, I appreciate it more than you could ever know

I feel like there would be a hole in my chest

If there was a way that I could feel

For the thoughts in my head seem too heavy to rest

And too frustrating still to be real

And I walk like there’s still someone waiting for me

Though each step feeds my widening lie

And this growth of denial I don’t wish to see

Of a fearful new void when I cry

I’m afraid of this lack of a feeling inside

Of this heart that I’m sure was once beating

When hope that was blind was still apt to be tried

And not simply a pain just repeating

I feel like there would be a hole in my chest

If somehow I remembered to feel

But the heart that was there just forgot how to rest

And there is no heat left in my tears
