Like a fiend pt. II

When I say I'm a fiend, You think it’s a good thing
But I’d rather be dead than your crack head queen
I never heard the word “addict” with a positive connotation
Or maybe you misheard or confused the denotation
With “adoration” or “love”
Or something other than the above
When I said you were my weakness
And my soul crushing drug
The kind that melts your mind
Every time you try
The kind that could kill you
At any given time
The kind that takes you prisoner and throws away the key
And leaves you living of memories and hallucinating
It turns my eyes bloodshot
It makes my body thin and weak
It makes me think it’s the cure
When really it’s the disease
You got me so hooked
I need what’s killing me to stay alive
My body craves the poison
And without it, wants to die
So I puff the tiny roach
Until I burn my fingertips
Tell me it’s all gone
And I won’t believe your lips
I can’t separate my high from what really exists
You make me think you’re here when
You left me alone in this
When you see what you’ve created
You are proud of what you’ve done
You think this is infatuation or admiration that you’ve won?
Does an addict truly love the drug that steals her life away?
And does the dealer care for the customer
As he profits from her pain
The time has finally come
I am deciding to get clean
Cause I’ll never make it in life
Living like a fiend
