One chilly afternoon in Corvallis, Oregon, Kai Yamazaki shivered down the crowded streets being pierced by unusually cold winds. His face was not at all protected from the icy air and his upper body was only covered by a thin black and gray unbuttoned flannel shirt and a cotton white tee underneath. His hands were as white as his face even though he kept them dug deep into the pockets of his faded blue jeans. He felt an icy gust of wind whip through his black-gold locks as he and something else collided. It was a man, about 10 years younger than he was, if he had to guess. He looked as if he was just woken up from a reverie. He ran his hand through his messy brown hair and quickly shoved his other hand into the pocket of his jacket.

\"Oh, I'm sorry, Sir. Please, excuse me,\" he said with a gleam in his eye.

\"It's cool,\" Kai mummbled. Without wasting any time, the man stormed off without even sparing a second glance atKai.Kai just shrugged and continued on his way home, still ignoring the somewhat blistering winds.
