Being a semi-rational irrational when it comes to superstitions I'm somewhat into astrology. Not that I make my own charts or the like, but in beeing a person who likes to take a peep at future events. I half-believe in what my horocopes tell me, but not all of it. Had I been a true, 100% believer then I should have given away all my belongings as I many years ago was told that the year I was of a certain age would be the year I died. That year being last year it goes without saying that the horoscope didn't come true, otherwise I couldn't write this. When I went to bed the night of that special day I couldn't help thinking of the possibility of my demise in my sleep, but nothing extraordinary happened which in a way felt like a disappointment. However, all in all, that sums it up: I believe more than I should and get disappointed or surprised when nothing happens.
Each day I receive a free e-mail-horoscope for the day and that's quite interesting, especially when I pull myself together and read them. Most often I don't as they are so detailed that I often lose track of the MESSAGE while reading them. No matter what this message, of course, is WHAT WILL HAPPEN TODAY. Sometimes they are hilarious as when they inform me that this or that will "happen at the office" - no office in my life anymore - or that I "shall get highly erotic this afternoon". No EC out looking for "action" or something like that.
When I read these two statements in an old horoscope I browsed the other day before deleting it I ran my own small statistic on 8 of these daily horoscopes and not a single one came up with anything REALLY amazing. They gave promises or warnings, but as none of it was verified by real life-events I think I shall keep both life and belongings this year too. However, one horoscope by a very good and famous astrologer did come true: 80-85% of his predictions happened ....
