Cheated Death

I felt a great pain

spreading from my heart

but hid it well.

as the weeks passed by

and she came around more often

you drifted away

you just left me here

and the pain grew to a wave

of hot agony.

now you know you have wronged

but this realization has

come too late for me.

As of now I am

forever out of your reach

I am too broken.

Under the weight of pain

I sank into the darkness

and numbness of death.

I am free of your

cursed face and am finally

free of our heartbreak.
