Poetry

Poetry's my heart and soul

my private lullaby

It helps me through the stormy nights

and lets my spirit fly

When all the world seems lost and sad

and my heart is torn in two

Poetry's my needle and thread

that mends my heart like glue.

I get to make up stories

some sorrow full and sad

some my mystified and curious

some joyful and some glad.

I get to be creative

in my one indifferent way

and try to give a little joy

to everyone each day.
