Happy birthday to me! I’m sixteen today and I still live with my parents. Where has my life gone? I used to have everything any girl could ever want. A few weeks ago, my mum had asked me what I wanted for my birthday. She said she’d get me anything I wanted since it’s the most important birthday of all time. I told her that I wanted a new life but I know she can’t make that happen. That’s the only thing I truly want nonetheless.

Sitting in front of me is my birthday cake with sixteen candles pierced through the chocolate icing; each one of them representing yet another meaningless year of my life.

“Make a wish!” My mum smiles, holding up the camera just like she used to when I was ten years old.

“I guess some things never change,” I mutter to myself. I just wish I could say the same for everything else in my life! I close my eyes, take a deep breath and wish for the one thing that I want more than anything whilst blowing out all the candles in one shot. I wish I could start my life from the very beginning.

All of a sudden, the whole room turns to black and I feel an absent presence force me to my feet before I'm blinded by whiteness. I stand in the same position, afraid to move, taking in the scene around me; the scene with absolutely nothing in it. It’s almost as if I’m trapped within a prison cell, only instead of being behind bars, I’m sealed in a small room that’s been completely painted white.

“That was a silly wish you made,” I hear a voice from behind me and I turn slowly, slightly frightened of what I might see. “If you were to live your life from the day you were born then you wouldn’t have any recollection of this life whatsoever. You’d just live your life the exact same way as you already have and nothing would change. Complete waste of time, if you ask me.”

By the time the sentence has finished, I’ve managed to turn myself around so that I’m able to see the person talking to me. A gasp automatically escapes my mouth when I notice the angelic image before me; covered in a blazing light, piercing blue eyes, the sophisticated white wings which seems to be glowing. It’s all so surreal. “Am I dreaming?” I ask myself, confused about how I can be in complete reality one minute to dream world the next. And then it hits me. Is this what happens when you die? “Am I dead?” I whisper.

He laughs. “Not dead, not dreaming - just taken from reality, if you will.” He takes a step towards me, although hIS legs don’t move; it’s almost as IT floated towards me.

“What’s going on?” I ask in a panic, “This isn’t happening!”

“This is the only opportunity you‘ll ever have to change your past. Don’t question it; embrace it.”

I laugh. “Who are you?”

“Just call me your batman.” She smiles.

I look in awe

\"no im just kidding im your guardian angel\"

I struggle to contain a laugh. There’s no such thing as angles! “Really and wheres my fairy Godmother?” I joke.

\"Okay watch this\" He said angelically

I watch in shock as he transforms into a fairy godmother.

\"Amazing\" I exclaimed

He now a She tells me calmly. “I’m giving you the chance to change your life here.” I raise my eyebrow, urging her to go on. She may be crazy but she certainly has my attention! “I won’t grant your wish.” Well, there’s a surprise! Who does she think she is? She can’t just go around dragging people into creepy white rooms and pretending to be their Fairy Godmother! This woman is off her head. “However, I will negotiate,” She continues. “Instead of taking you back to the day you were born, I will take you through all of your life changing moments that led to your life being miserable and you can have one chance - and only one chance - to change the outcome. The most important thing that you must remember is that, if you mess it up again, then I’m afraid it has to stay that way.”

“I’m dreaming,” I tell myself. This can’t be real; It’s impossible!

“You aren’t dreaming, I can promise you that.” She holds her hand out to me. “All you have to do is touch me and we can let the journey begin.”

Normally I wouldn’t be so quick to trust someone but you can’t blame me for being curious. After all, it doesn’t feel like I’m dreaming. Plus she’s offering me the chance to change my past and, right now, that’s an offer I can’t refuse. I reluctantly lift my hand towards hers, unsure of what’s to come.

“There’s no turning back,” She tells me. “Once you take my hand, you have to go through with it. Of course, if you regretted it then you could just live each thing the same as you did before but my guess is that it would cause much more pain than the first time around.”

I know I want to change my life. My past could never be any worse than it already is. No longer hesitant, I place my hand on hers. I feel a slight jolt of electricity when I touch her and, once again, everything fades to black. As i struggle to contain my erection.
