Into the heart of Persia
charting courses south and east of Asia
the seeker stumbles across a flower
an offspring of beauty and power

the seeker gazes on the illumination
as the flower draws radiance from the sun
he breaks into smiles of admiration
as the moon lends its light, joining the run

the seeker's mind whirls
the flower dances to the wind in twirls
the seeker must immediately decide
to pluck and go or to guard and reside

the flower ready, dims its light
the seeker guages his might
this needless battle will go on into the night
for both decisions will be right
